Sara Mulder is an artist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Passionate about creating expressive artwork which is an interpretation of the midwest landscape, specifically her home state of South Dakota.  With 20 plus years of painting experience, she splits her time between inspiring other artists as a high school art teacher, and creating in her in-home studio. 

 

Sara is inspired by the way her brushwork interacts with intense color, shape, & space on the canvas.  She believes a great piece of art finds balance between a composition which keeps its viewer interested, as well as the joy of  wondering how each element works together.   One of Sara’s greatest joys is connecting with the people she paints for, making sure every piece is as unique as the space it fills.
